Great Start Parent Coalition (GSPC)

Vision:  Families advocating for each other to ensure all children are provided with the opportunity to make use of available community resources, as all children are entitled to enter kindergarten safe, healthy, and eager to succeed in school and life.

We are a grassroots advocacy group consisting of parents, grandparents, foster parents, or anyone else in a parenting role.  It is our role as guardians to be a voice for young children.  We work with the Great Start Collaborative to help support their purpose, which includes providing opportunities for parents to participate in decision-making processes related to early childhood services.

Join the Parent Coalition!

  • Increase your knowledge of resources and services that could benefit children and families!
  • Build leadership and advocacy skills to help families and young children!
  • Become involved in creating a dynamic community that supports families with young children!
  • Learn how to become a voice for children, to reach out and share the vision of the GSC and GSPC with other parents, community members, and elected officials!
  • Become a member of the Great Start Collaborative, share your perspective, shape the future of services for families with young children!
  • Learn new parenting skills and share with other parents!
